Saba® - Freedom to feel comfortable.

Whether for medical or cosmetic reasons, there are different vagina, vulva and pubis surgeries. Let’s learn more about them.

Many women undergo surgeries to modify their V Zone (vagina, vulva, and V-shaped frontal region) for medical or cosmetic reasons. These surgeries alter appearance and sensation and are becoming more accessible. Understanding these procedures can help you make a decision. Understanding these procedures can help you decide. Whether considering them for health issues or to enhance your physical appearance, knowing what is in store for you is important.

While we have autonomy over our bodies, including the option of surgery, the decision should be driven by what is best for ourselves, not influenced by others. Each of our V Zones is unique and remarkable, so carefully assess your decision before making any permanent changes.

We will help you understand more about labiaplasty and vaginal tightening surgeries so you can make an informed decision!

Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is a surgery that reduces the size of the labia minora, the inner folds around the vaginal opening. Labia come in all shapes, sizes, and colors—there’s no one "normal." Some choose labiaplasty for comfort if their labia cause irritation during activities like exercise or sex, while others do it for aesthetic reasons. It's all about what makes you feel good, not fitting into any standard.

Why do people have labia surgery?

Because of how it feels

Although there will never be a case where you will have to undergo labiaplasty for medical reasons, some women experience discomfort or even pain due to their labia. The friction caused by the labia during activities like intercourse, exercise, or even sitting can lead to irritation. In cases where this discomfort significantly affects daily activities, labiaplasty is an option to alleviate pain and improve quality of life!

Because of the way they look

There is no such thing as the "perfect" or "right" lips, but that doesn't stop people from wanting to change the way they look, much like dying your hair or making your breast size bigger or smaller. Surgery can boost confidence and significantly impact your life. If you are inclined to go this route, think about why you genuinely want to do it. Ultimately, altering any aspect of your body is a very personal choice. Remember that all bodies are beautiful, including our vulvas

Vaginal Tightening Surgery

Vaginal tightening surgery, or vaginoplasty, is a procedure intended to tighten both the vaginal canal and its opening. This is achieved by rejoining separated muscles and removing excess skin. Essentially, vaginoplasty is meant to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles that support the uterus, bladder, and bowel.

Why is vaginal tightening surgery performed?

For medical reasons

Aging and childbirth can cause the pelvic floor muscles to overstretch and lose elasticity (kind of like a hair tie stretches with repeated use). This can result in challenges such as difficulty keeping a tampon in place or controlling urination. In other cases, sexual pleasure may be affected.

For some people, this is a small problem. They accept it as a natural part of aging or childbearing. But others find it more challenging to cope with. This is when vaginal tightening surgery can be an option but remember that just because it can be done does not mean you have to do it.  It is also important to remember that this type of procedure does not 100% guarantee the results you want.

For aesthetic reasons

While there is nothing inherently wrong with having less toned pelvic floor muscles, the perception of them being "loose" can trigger feelings of self-consciousness. This may lead some women to consider vaginal tightening surgery to improve their self-esteem. Yet, undergoing surgery is only one option for becoming more confident in how your vagina feels—you can also train for it! Some exercises strengthen vaginal muscles without surgery.

Love your V Zone just the way it is!

All bodies are unique, making us special. It's important to recognize and appreciate that before deciding. And if you're feeling self-conscious about your V Zone, why not research various types of vulvar art or even share your feelings? Talking about it with your partner or friends can reveal that you're not alone and help you realize it's normal to feel this way sometimes.
