Saba® makes you feel #CómodaContigo.

Have you ever felt like you could eat 24/7 right before your period? And of course, you don’t feel like eating salad. Junk food is the stuff you want to eat. These are PMS cravings, and they are pretty common while you’re on your period.

What causes PMS cravings?

-Hormonal changes and high estrogen levels lower your blood sugar, and that’s why we have sugar cravings.

-Our body also starts craving for carbs because these are in charge of bringing energy to our body, and we'll need some extra energy during those days.

We know it’s hard to resist these cravings, but you should know that if you eat a lot of sugar you might feel irritable and anxious afterwards. That’s why we have some tricks to help you deal with these cravings:

Stick to your meal schedule: One way to keep a healthy diet is to stick to a schedule. This means don't wait until you’re hungry to eat and don't skip meals. You can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a few snacks in the middle. This is going to help to provide energy to your body constantly throughout the day.

Stay active: Working out has so many benefits during your period. It reduces PMS, calms anxiety and stress, and it also reduces cravings.

Eat protein: This helps balance your sugar levels and slow down your metabolism, helping you to be less hungry.

Stay hydrated: If you don’t drink enough water, the thirst you feel might be confused with hunger or cravings. So before you give in to a craving, try drinking some water first.
