Many girls agree that the worst part about periods are the terrible CRAMPS, and while they’re totally normal, they make us feel uncomfortable because they’re SO painful 😣.   • Drink lots of water 💦: staying hydrated will help you reduce swelling. So, make sure you always have a bottle of water on hand, especially when your period date is near. 

  • Change your diet 🍎: a high-calorie diet with an excess of salt or fat during those days will not only cause you to retain more fluids but can also increase the discomfort. It's best to eat a balanced diet.

  • Reduce caffeine intake ☕: it causes you to retain liquids. Remember that it isn’t only present in coffee, but also in some teas, energy drinks, and soft drinks. If you need a dose of energy in the morning, use other options such as an energizing smoothie. 

  • Nourish 💊: Vitamins E, B1 and B6, magnesium, zinc, and fatty acids control the hormones responsible for pain and help relieve muscle tension and swelling.

  • Prepare an infusion 💆: in addition to ingredients with anti-inflammatory properties, drinking warm water stimulates blood flow and helps muscles relax.

  • Practice yoga 🧘‍♀: this discipline is an excellent alternative for soothing menstrual cramps. The “diamond” position relieves muscle tension in the pelvic area. Sit on the floor, bend your knees and keep them as close to the floor as possible. Join your feet together to create a diamond shape with your legs. Take a deep breath and exhale leaning forward.
